If you like what I do, and want to help me continue my passion!
PictureMe, working on a 12 page children's book I made in one week.
Going into this field, I'm aware that it is not tough- but rather an extremely grueling process. Having to be your own worst critique is overwhelming at times. Every minute past midnight spent perfecting this one drawing I can't get quite right. Every stare at the artist I try not to envy, but respect.

What makes it the hardest is when I say that this is it, this is what I want to do. People roll the whole "You'll get over it." or "You'll find something more practical." I wouldn't even put it beyond them that these doubters "Got over" their passions as well. I know, every day I spend working silences those people. I know I can, I know I want to, so I just have to prove them wrong.

At the time I write this, I've been drawing (knowing that this is what I want to do, I've really drawn my whole life) for 2 1/2 years. People say my improvement and learning within that time has taken other artists many more years to reach. I kindly deny that. These 2 1/2 years I've spent I've dedicated almost entirely to my artwork. That is why. I didn't draw every once in awhile. I draw in all my classes, and the entire day when I got home, and then until 4 in the morning or the latest I could go without anyone noticing how late I stayed up. When I can't draw, I daydream about new ideas and think about how I can improve. I don't remember the last day I didn't do anything related to building my art career- because I haven't stopped since the passion sparked.

That is what art means to me. And that is why I'm fiercely pursuing this career.

Why donate?

Art materials are expensive. And for someone who quickly empties markers and fills sketchbooks, I have a pretty good idea of that.

Websites are also expensive. Hosting this website is not cheap. While I handle everything design wise myself, my custom domain and hosting is definitely eating the little wallet- so to speak.

Capital to get art printed and ready to sell is, you guessed it, also expensive. T-Shirts, buttons, paper for prints, sticker paper, and expanding to new items as well is not as easy task. Trying to get a price that allows for fair profit means ordering larger quantities. As that implies, stuff gets pricey real quick.

While I can handle myself without donations, having some extra cash would allow me to expand my horizons in art supplies, keep my site up, and expand my shop with new cool and exciting items.
